Currencies Supported by iCents.net

When users visit a page of a website with iCents.net micropayments, they see all prices converted to their local currency of choice. This is important because few people know the exchange rates for currencies of other countries.

In other words, when American users, for instance, visit a Japanese site, all prices they see are in US dollars, not in Japanese yen. Likewise, when Japanese users visit US-based websites, the prices will be displayed in yen. Prices are always converted automatically, in real time.

Virtually all the currencies of the world, more than 150, are supported by iCents.net.

How does your website receive payments?

iCents.net actually pays your website via PayPal. Therefore, you must have a PayPal account.

All of the currencies in the above list (with more than 150 currencies) could be used by your website to price your paid-links. Theoretically, it is even possible to use a different currency for each paid-link that you create, although in practice you will probably always use the local currency of your country.

However, iCents.net can only pay your website in dollars. In the near future, iCents.net will increase the number of currencies to allow websites of other countries to receive payments in their own currencies.

Since websites can use more than 150 currencies to price their paid-links, but always receive in dollars, it is necessary to have a price conversion. When an Internet user makes a payment to your website, iCents.net determines the actual price of the link being paid in dollars, in real time on the moment of purchase.

Note that this value conversion is not a currency exchange conversion and there may be significant differences between the iCents.net tables and the actual market exchange rates. As much as possible but with no guarantee, iCents.net will attempt to closely reflect the current market exchange rates. Currencies from countries with high inflation rates could reflect greater discrepancies.

When you convert currencies through your PayPal account, then PayPal may charge you some extra fees.
