iCents.TurnOn and iCents.TurnOff functions

If you load the iCents.TurnOff function on a page of your website that is being visited by an Internet user, iCents will be turned off for such user. The user will see all of the links behaving as if they were ordinary links, without payments. The micro-subscription buttons, if any, will indicate the content has been unlocked.

To turn iCents back on in your website, call the iCents.TurnOn function. If the Internet user deletes the cookies, iCents will also turn back on.

Warning: Of course, these functions do not turn iCents on/off for all Internet users, only for the user who is viewing the page on which the function was called. It does not work in your website's server, but in the user's browser.

Syntax:

iCents.TurnOff()

iCents.TurnOn()

The only purpose of these functions is to allow content to be sold both via micro-subscriptions and micropayments and via traditional subscriptions. If the Internet user is a traditional subscriber, you must turn iCents off after the sign-in, and turn it back once the user signs out.

However, note that when you simply turn iCents off using the iCents.TurnOff function, the content will continue locked by the Access Filter in your website's server, unless the Access Filter is also conveniently prepared. Please check the Subscription Compatibilization page for more information.
