This is a fake Twitter page.
TechCrunch and Serkan Toto reported about Twitter Japan's plans to start charging followers to view tweets from certain users and explained why this paid subscription model could work in Japan. The day after, TechCrunch said this won't happen.
We don't know if this would work or not if Twitter implemented it, but since TechCrunch seems to think it might... The mockup to the left follows exactly the functionality described by TechCrunch.
What do you think? Update: some people blogged about this mockup here, here and here. Please click the "Next" button below.

To the left you have a page with many regular tweets and 2 SuperTweets. SuperTweets are tweets up to 420 characters. You can pay 1 cent to view each SuperTweet, or you can pay a 30 cents micro-subscription to view all of them.
2) Or roll the mouse over the micro-subscription button near the top of the screen.
3) When you click a SuperTweet or the micro-subscription button, a Payment Window will appear and let you pay.
Note: the first time you pay for SuperTweets, you will have to sign in with the payment system you like using.
Please click here to learn how to do it, in case you haven't signed in already.
